Home Theater Longmont. There has been lots of discussion about which is best, LCD or plasma. Do a google search on this and you will find a great deal of highly detailed and technical information. Here is the short evaluation.
LCD: They typically have a brighter picture than plasma. They don’t reflect as much as plasma, so they are better for a bright room. And they use less power than plasma.
Plasma: There is no problem with motion blur. They are usually a little cheaper than lcd for the same size. They have a better viewing angle. And they display deeper blacks, and have better contrast.
Which is best? There are more variables that this, but it may come down to lcd for a bright room, and plasma for a more light controlled environment.
